FSiix Resources sources and trades scheelite and wolframite tungsten concentrates — the beneficiated, high-WO₃ intermediate that feeds ammonium paratungstate (APT) conversion, tungsten metal powder, and cemented carbide production. Tungsten is designated a critical mineral by the EU, US, UK, and Japan, with more than 80% of global mined supply concentrated in China. FSiix's concentrate programme gives buyers a documented, non-Chinese origin route with full penalty-element certification, chain-of-custody documentation, and ESG compliance for hardmetal, defence, aerospace, and electronics manufacturers.
Tungsten concentrate is the beneficiated, high-WO₃ intermediate produced by separating tungsten-bearing minerals from surrounding rock through gravity, magnetic, and flotation techniques. At 65–72% WO₃, it is the primary traded form of tungsten worldwide — the feedstock for downstream conversion to ammonium paratungstate (APT), tungsten metal powder, and ultimately cemented carbide.
FSiix sources scheelite (CaWO₄) and wolframite ((Fe,Mn)WO₄) concentrates from vetted, non-Chinese origin operations, giving buyers a transparent, chain-of-custody-documented alternative at a time when supply chain security has become a strategic priority for manufacturers across defence, aerospace, and cutting-tool industries.
FSiix's tungsten programme follows a gravity-led beneficiation route, from crushing and screening through to magnetic or flotation cleaning and the finished, export-ready concentrate.
Run-of-mine ore is primary crushed and scrubbed to remove clay coatings that reduce mineral liberation. Grinding is kept gentle — tungsten minerals are dense but relatively soft, and fine slimes reduce gravity circuit efficiency. Typical grind target is P80 250–400 microns.
Tungsten minerals' extreme density (6.1–7.5 g/cm³ vs. 2.65–2.8 g/cm³ for gangue) makes gravity separation highly effective. Multi-stage circuits of jigs, spirals, and shaking tables produce a heavy mineral pre-concentrate at 15–35% WO₃.
Magnetic wolframite is separated from non-magnetic gangue by high-intensity magnetic separation, while scheelite is cleaned by froth flotation with fatty-acid collectors. Both routes achieve final saleable grades of 65–72% WO₃, then dried, bagged, and certified for export.
Tungsten's hardness, heat resistance, and density make it the only viable material across a range of critical applications where no substitute exists.
With China controlling over 80% of global tungsten supply, FSiix provides a transparent, fully traceable origin at a time when critical mineral supply chain security is a boardroom priority for defence, aerospace, and hardmetal buyers.
Both scheelite and wolframite concentrates are available through a single supply relationship, simplifying procurement for APT converters and hardmetal producers with differing feedstock specifications.
Exceptionally low Mo, P, and As content minimises price deductions at APT converters, with full penalty-element certificates, chain-of-custody documentation, and ESG compliance records accompanying every consignment.
China accounts for roughly 80–84% of global mined tungsten production and an even higher share of APT processing capacity. Its 2023 export-control framework on tungsten crystallised supply chain risk for Western manufacturers, while global demand is forecast to grow at 4–5% CAGR through 2030 on carbide tooling, defence, and semiconductor consumption.
Tungsten concentrate pricing moves with AME and Metal Bulletin APT reference benchmarks, and penalty-element deductions vary with converter terms and mineral type, so we don't publish a static reference price here — anything printed on a page would likely be stale within days.
